Summary
                Outlook mobile will include the Microsoft Copilot feature by default for users with a qualifying license, starting early August 2024, with completion by early September 2024. The Copilot module will appear next to Mail and Calendar, or in the Apps section if the tab layout is customized. No admin action is required before the rollout.


More Information

The same Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 experience already available in new Outlook for Windows, web, and classic Outlook will be available in Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android. This feature is enabled by default for any users with a qualifying Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.

With this update, users will be able to interact (chat) with Copilot for Microsoft 365 without leaving Outlook mobile.

When this will happen:

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out early August 2024 and expect to complete by early September 2024.

How this will affect your organization:

After the rollout, users will see a new Copilot module next to Mail and Calendar in the tab bar of Outlook mobile.

For users who have customized their tab layout, Copilot may appear in the Apps section of the tab bar. It can be moved to another position via the Reorder button.

This rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate.
