Cameras that have implemented Microsoft-defined camera controls for Active Speaker Framing, Group Framing, and Edge Composed IntelliFrame will see controls for these features in the Camera settings pop-up menu. When this will happen:General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out late September 2024 (previously mid-September) and expect to complete by early October 2024 (previously late September). General Availability (GCC High, DoD): We will begin rolling out early October 2024 and expect to complete by early November 2024. How this will affect your organization:Before this rollout: Controls for Active Speaker Framing, Group Framing, and Edge Composed IntelliFrame do not appear in the Camera settings pop-up menu for cameras that have implemented Microsoft-defined camera controls. After this rollout: Users in a Teams Rooms on Windows with a camera connected that has implemented the controls as defined by Microsoft will see in-meeting controls for Active Speaker Framing, Group Framing, and Edge Composed IntelliFrame. Setting the default behavior for cameras with these controls will not be supported as part of this initial release, but we expect to support default setting controls at a later date. There are no related admin controls for this feature as part of this release. What you need to do to prepare:This rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout. You may want to notify your users about this new capability and update any supporting documentation for your users. |
