In Microsoft Defender for Office 365, the Preview and Download buttons will soon be available in more places on the Email entity summary panel in the Microsoft Defender portal. When this will happen:General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late August 2024 and expect to complete by mid-September 2024. How this will affect your organization:Before this rollout, the Preview and Download buttons are available on the Email entity summary panel from Explorer. After this rollout, after you select an email, you will be able to access the Preview and Download buttons from Submissions, Reporting, Alerts, Incidents and Advanced Hunting, in addition to Explorer on the Email entity summary panel. The Preview and Download buttons require additional permissions to access and are only available for specific scenarios. One way to access the Preview and Download buttons is from the Submissions Testing panel in Submissions: What you need to do to prepare:This rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout. You may want to notify your admins about this change and update any relevant documentation. |
