MC946797: Microsoft Teams: Collaborative call delegation on Teams Phone devices |
More Information |
---|
Coming soon for Microsoft Teams Phone devices: The Collaborative call delegation feature allows users to delegate call management tasks to a group of individuals in a circular manner, ensuring that calls are handled efficiently, and no important communications are missed. When this will happen:General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out this feature from mid-January 2025 and expect to complete by late January 2025. General Availability (GCC High): We will begin rolling out this feature from mid-February 2025 and expect to complete by late February 2025. General Availability (DoD): We will begin rolling out this feature from mid-May 2025 and expect to complete by late May 2025. How this will affect your organization:The Collaborative call delegation feature is designed to enhance collaborative workflows by allowing calls to be passed seamlessly between team members. Users can set up a delegation group, and incoming calls will be routed in a predefined sequence among the group members. This ensures that if one delegate is unavailable, the call will automatically be directed to the next available delegate, creating a continuous loop of availability. What you need to do to prepare:Please ensure that your Teams Phone devices are updated with the latest application to get access to the Collaborative call delegation feature. The features listed above will ONLY be available with the latest application update. Please follow the steps in Shared line appearance in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn to set up Collaborative call delegation using Microsoft PowerShell (Note: Collaborative call delegation can only be set up only using PowerShell). This rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to determine the impact for your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation. |
