Double Key Encryption (DKE) provides organizations with a second encryption key for your most sensitive content. 

This release adds the DKE functionality to Word, Excel, PowerPoint for Android, matching the functionality already available in Windows, iOS, and Mac.

When this will happen:

Public Preview: Available in December 2024

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD): We will begin rolling out early January 2025 and plan to complete rollout by late January 2025

Users can apply sensitivity labels with Double Key Encryption and view DKE-protected files in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Android.
